Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys.

How was your week?

I'm super tired. I haven't gotten my schedule for work yet. I suffered through a 3 hour class without a break. I have homework up to my ears. The whole night class thing is killing me.

I know I'm complaining, but I only got a little bit of sleep because I was helping my friend/one of my boyfriend's best friends with his classes until 5 in the morning..

And I have a light on my car.. that says I need to have something checked and it's been on for a couple of days.. That might be bad. :(

Does anyone know if it's hard to get big companies to donate stuff to organizations and programs. I was thinking about something like.. Jamba Juice or Starbucks or McDonalds.

But, on the bright side. Four day weekend to get everything done! :)

Oh! My 2 year anniversary is on the 18th! So, I have a couple of weeks to finish my present (a scrapbook..). Oh boy. I haven't even started yet.

I promise the schedule will return to normal this week. :)

Good night everyone. I really need to catch some Zzzzzz. :)

Happy Friday!

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys!

How has your week been? I can't believe it's Friday already.

My week has been crazy. It's the last week of summer and I head back to school on Monday. I'm super excited for my classes! :) So, I have about 3 days left to enjoy my summer and spend as much time as I can with my boyfriend and my cat. Our schedules are kind of flopped for school (him mornings, me in the afternoon/night) and yeah.

I have exciting news!.. I got the job! :) My orientation is today! I'm super excited! I'm not sure what I'll be doing for how much, but I got the job! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY! My boyfriend and I have money to move out in 3 to 4 years!

My presidency at my Honors program has been a little shaky. Our first event was the picnic and only a couple of people showed up out of everyone who RSVPed. I'm worried that no one is going to want to do anything or try to be active this semester. My two right hand men ditched me. One said "yes" to coming and the other one said "maybe". Irritating.

Oh, for the record.. one of my right hand men who flaked.. had the nerve to say that we should have a vote to get someone to fill in for me because I'm going to be busy with my job. Who else is going to fill in that's as motivated as I am about bring the program off of the ground? It's so hard to stay positive when everyone else (even the coordinator, a little bit)is like "I don't really give a crap."

I can't do everything by myself.. It's not possible, especially for the events. My determination is dwindling.. just because I know that I won't have the manpower to push everything I want to get done this semester, let alone this year.

Sorry that this is so long, I needed to get some things off my chest.

Happy Friday! :)

PS. The schedule is still going to be weird for a little bit longer. I promise that it will go back to normal soon. By soon, in a week.. or two. :)

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys!

How's your day going?

SUMMER! Summer school is officially over! I don't know how I did, but I did my best and that's all that matters. Now I can do all of the things that I want to do this summer! Beach, bonfire, San Francisco, San Diego, shopping, trying to work out (probably not going to happen), picnic- I'm SOOO excited! :)

Is anyone taking any vacations or going on any trips this summer (or went on some trips this summer)?

Oh, boy. I'm exhausted. There really isn't anything going on right now. My room exploded so I have no idea how I'm going to sleep right now.

Happy Friday, guys!

Today's National Cheesecake Day! Half off on cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory! :)

Have a great weekend!

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys!

How are you guys?

I can't believe it's Friday already. I'm kind of in high-stress mode because I have finals this week for summer school. I feel like I'm tired and cranky all the time. There's so many projects and midterms and reviews I have to do this week and I'm not sure how I'm going to manage to pull it all together by Thursday. I think I need a vacation. Badly.

Of course, I brought this onto myself by trying to do more than I physically can handle. But, on the bright side, I got the Honors room organized! It was awesome to see the looks on the guys' faces when they saw that it was clean. They loved the surprise and now think I'm superwoman because I did this in between classes. :)

So, I'm taking a break today to see Grown Ups with one of the guys in Honors. It's going to be a blast, we always have fun together. Did anyone see Grown Ups? I saw Dispicable Me on my birthday. Again, thank you for all the birthday wishes. :) I had a really nice birthday, hanging out with my boyfriend and the movie was adorable!

I heard that Inception was REALLY good. Has anyone seen that one yet? I think I'm going to see it with my boyfriend on Monday (apparently, I'm taking lots of breaks! :]).

Does anyone want to give brief review of any of the movies above (or a movie you really liked or disliked that you've seen recently)?

I know that this post is all over the place, but I would like to get back onto the topic of vacation!

I'll be heading to San Diego from August 9th until the 12th or the 13th. The vacation may or may not affect the posting schedule (probably not, hopefully, if I get my act together and stop being in "summer" mode). I just wanted to give you guys a heads up. I'll post something on the sidebar (does anyone even read the sidebars? I'm just curious. :]) as a reminder. :)

I think I'll stop rambling now and go to sleep before taking my Astronomy exam. =]

Happy Friday, guys!

Have a GREAT weekend! :)

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys,

How are you guys?

I'm not really feeling well, so I think I'm just going to do a short dedication to the Diary of J. If you don't already know, she is ending her blog. But, she has wrapped up everything (almost everything) in her goodbye post. If you haven't read that, then head on over to check it out.

I'm actually going to miss her blog. I mean, sure, there were times where we, as readers, were frustrated with the lack of posting. But, J's blog was very entertaining to read and helped us pass the time.

Who can forget about her ex-boyfriend Russ, her jobs, and her interesting love triangle?

I'm sorry that you're leaving, J. Good luck with everything ahead in life.

Feel free to comment about anything on Diary of J in the comment section. :)

Happy Friday and have a good weekend!

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys!

How are you guys today?

I thought that it would be nice to do something different and dedicate a whole post to the movie Eclipse. :) There might (probably will) be some spoilers in here, so if you haven't watched the movie yet... AVERT YOUR EYES! haha.

Ok, I went with friends to see the movie. I have complete mixed feelings about it. Let me start off by saying that I'm a complete Taylor Lautner fan. Also, I haven't read any of the books.

I really liked Jacob in New Moon, but this movie kind of made him a little bit more cocky and arrogant. I mean, with the first kiss. He really went for it when it felt like it was the COMPLETE wrong time to do it. It was like "she loves me, she just won't admit it." Which I thought was really weird that he said it more than once. I was thinking, "Man! What if she doesn't love you back? You would look like a complete jerk!"

I had a problem with Edward just letting Bella kiss Jacob when Jacob had found out that they were engaged. This is basically my impression: "Edward! Do something! That's your fiance that Jacob is making out with right in front of you!" I loved the fact that when Bella admitted that she loved Jacob but loved Edward more, all he said was "I know." Fight for your woman, darn it! LOL.

Also, I kind of had an issue with the "Yeah, I'll marry you if you have sex with me." Bella just makes me mad. I mean, you're supposedly really in love with this guy. So in love that you would give away your humanity to be with him, but you won't marry him without a compromise? I mean, I really don't think that she deserves either one any way.. Or she can have Edward and I'll take Jacob (I mean, Taylor). Why string both of them along?

But, I loved the comedy that went into the movie. My friend and I were totally laughing. I think my favorite scene was the tent scene, just because of how well it was done.

I really missed seeing Taylor with his shirt off for 75% of the movie, but it was worth it when he first came out during the movie. My friend was like.. "Calm down." LOL. Males just don't get excited over a shirtless guy like females do. :)

Overall, I thought that the movie was decent. I wasn't really disappointed with the movie, but I heard a lot of the hardcore fans were. I'm excited to see the wedding play out in the next two movies. I don't really have a problem with the actors in the movie, although I don't really see the appeal to Robert. I don't really find him attractive at all. To each their own though. :)

So, what did you guys think of the movie? What were your favorite parts? Which parts do you think could have been better?

Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys! :)

How's everyone today? I'm just going to jump right in! Does anyone have any fund raising ideas?

I'm the president of the Honors Program at my college (I'm not officially in the office until fall) and it's pretty sad to see how much money we have in our funds for scholarships for those who are in our program (think somewhere in the $200 range) and I, along with two other students, are trying to fund raise over the summer to help jump start our bank account. It's difficult to turn things into a success when no one wants to pull the legwork and do it. So, it's just the three of us right now, dealing with cleaning out the office to use as a study center and trying to locate the Honors coordinator. In the program's defense, it had to be resurrected a year ago because the last coordinator retired or left the school, so it's a fairly unstable program as it is. We're barely staying afloat, so any ideas will be much appreciated!

It's actually really interesting to see what the majority of the readers like in the polls section. The most popular soft drink was Coca-Cola with Dr. Pepper close at second. Currently, Milk chocolate is dominating the chocolate poll. Is there a specific poll that you would like me to add?

Ok, let's move onto a more interesting topic: blogs!

I'm glad that Life with an Indian Twist is back. :) I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.

Ooo! Bedroom blog. I love where it's leading now. I'm kind of hoping that things are winding down with how things are going between Ben and K. are going. :)

Diary of J- I'm kind of getting restless to see what's going to happen between J. and Alejandro. It's interesting to see why and what she's doing. I don't know. It's so interesting at a psychological standpoint of why she's doing what she's doing.. and why Brandon is doing what he's doing. Why is he letting this happen? So many theories! :)

Modern Day Faith- I really hope that Faith can let Sean in. I really like him and I think that he'll be good for her. Super excited to see what's going to happen. :D

That's all I can recall from the top of my head for now.

Happy Friday, guys! :)

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! :)

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys!

How has your week been? Just out of curiosity, what did you guys vote on the poll? :)

My week has been busy. I started summer school and it's been extremely busy. Hopefully, it'll be ok.

The Hopeless Romantic story is getting really really good. So, if you don't read that blog, then definitely check it out. It's a really cute story. :)

I'm definitely sad to see Alicia's blog go on hiatus. But, I can't wait until it comes back. I'm still Team Jayce, even though he's a little bit confused. I'm hoping that they get back together over the summer and then have this awesome relationship. Crap. I just read the most recent post. NO JACKSON! JAYCE JAYCE JAYCE!!!

I just realized that I miss the Chapter's blog. I'm slightly confused with the posting schedule with that blog and with The Karen Chronicles. Is it random or is there a specific posting schedule?

I'm sorry that this is so short, but I'm really exhausted and really need to sleep. Good night, guys. :)

Happy Friday, everyone! :)

AANNNNNNNNNNNND! Have a great weekend!

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey, guys!

How's your week been? I forgot to say that I added the question for this week and it's on the right hand bar. I have to figure out how to make it more noticeable. There really are too many ice cream flavors to list. LOL.

I've had a crazy week. I'm back from Connecticut and I can't begin to explain how much I missed California. I started smiling before we even landed. I missed the sun, the air, and my bed. I got to see my sweetheart the next day and that was amazing. You never know how much you love someone until you go on vacation for a couple of weeks, in my opinion, at least. And yes, I'm talking about my cat. My boyfriend's kind of special too. ;)

I've been going non-stop since I got back and haven't been getting much sleep, due to the weird sleeping hours I endured in CT. Like, yesterday, I was helping a friend pack for Alaska and for her move to Washington. She has so much stuff that it's overly overwhelming. She wanted to cry. Heck, I wanted to cry. But, my crying might be due to the lack of sleep more than anything else. I'm heading back (she lives in another town) today to help her pack some more.

School starts on Monday, yay! I'm excited to start school (that's how much of a bookworm I am). Haha. No, I'm really excited to start so I can have the rest of the summer to do whatever I want.

Enough about me! Moving onto blogs.

Hmm.. There is this new (is it new? well.. maybe not new) called The Hopeless Romantic. It's really good! Here is the link: http://gcghopelessromatic.blogspot.com/ It's about a girl who can't get notice by the guy she likes. It's very entertaining!

As always, I don't know what Alicia is talking about. Writer's block? What writer's block?

Bedroom Blog. I really hope that we find out more about Brad, because I think that Brad is the only guy that I like on the blog.. Well.. other than Ben.

My brain is fried, I can't remember what else I wanted to say. Oh! The Diary of J is back! I can't wait to see what's in store for us!

Happy Friday, guys! :)

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey, guys!

How's your week been?

So, I'm talking about CT in this post. You can ignore it if you don't want to hear me ramble or you can post a comment if you have a traveling story involving your spouse/boyfriend/family/or just yourself. =]

My internet connection is still off and on, but we'll see.

First, I'd like to apologize again about Wednesday's post being late. That was completely an accident and a mistake on my part. I wasn't careful looking at what time the post was scheduled for. So, I would like to apologize for that again.

So, Connecticut! I'm in a small town, which is about an hour away from the Hartford airport and the Providence airport. There's lots of trees here, which is super odd for me because I'm a city girl. I see empty land, but not land covered in trees in every single direction you go.

We've gone to Boston's Chinatown(by "we", I mean, my uncle, aunt, baby cousin [so adorable at a little bit over 5 months], and my grandma), which was a little disappointing to me. One, because San Francisco's Chinatown is way better. Two, it was basically a couple streets that was boring compared to other Chinatowns. Three, we ate at a really bad Vietnamese restaurant there that most likely gave me food poisoning (I was sick to my stomach for about two days). It wasn't a fun experience, but a great experience at that.

We went to the mall on another day, which is always fun. But the best day was the outlets. I got to buy things like a pair of really badly needed jeans (I didn't pack enough clothes), which I got to pay for.. with my own money...

My family is super weird. They will not let me spend any money. I wanted to treat them out to ONE.. I repeat.. ONE meal.. and they WILL NOT let me do it. I'm over here for two weeks living in their house and they're taking time off work to be with me. *sigh* "You're a student" blah blah blah. The thing is.. I'm almost independent at home. I don't pay for rent or utilities, but I do pay for my food, gas, personal spending, and my tuition/books for school. I'm not used to people paying for my stuff.

And my grandma! OMG. She will not quit! I tell her I'm full and she will not keep pushing food on my plate. They eat about 3 times as much as me (I eat quite little actually) and I'm on my wits end with all the nagging. She is about 3 times worse than my mother. With that said, I love my grandma because she does it out of love. But I'm not used to being babied and it's getting on my nerves. I find myself thinking "what the heck was I thinking? two weeks? why? I was only going to do one week!"

I keep getting stuck in the middle between my grandma and my aunt (because my aunt married into the family). And my uncle and my aunt.. *sigh* Not looking forward to married life.. or babies when they're cranky.

But I got to go to NY to see my grandpa! I love my grandpa because he's very independent too. Highlight of this week. :)

I still have a couple of days left and will return on Monday night. I can't wait. I miss California, the sun, and my room.

Now, after all that (mostly ranting) about CT, we can move onto blogs. Which blogs do you want to talk about? =]

Alicia's blog.. OMG. I'm loving it. You can't even tell that there's ever been writer's block! Seriously!

I love Erin's new blog, Chapters! Seriously well written! :) I'm loving how the story is building and building.

Sometimes.. I'm in love with the blog.. it's more of a novel. But still an excellent read. I'm kind of like.. finally! right now. I don't want to spoil the story for those who haven't read it yet. :)

My brain isn't really functioning right now because that's all the blogs I can think of on the top of my head. So, if I missed something, which I probably did, let me know!

Have an awesome Friday!

Again, I'm really sorry!

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys!

How is everyone?

I hope you guys are enjoying the new posting schedule! I know I am. :)

Like I mentioned before, my internet is a little shaky right now. I'm surprised that it hasn't kicked me off yet. I've been trying to write all my posts at once so when the internet does kick me off, it won't freak me out as much. I'm really trying to stick to the posting schedule because, well, I promised everyone that I would. If I haven't said so already, well.. I promise to stick to the posting schedule. :)

I'll talk about Connecticut in my next Fast-Talking Friday post, when the internet is hopefully better?

Onto other blogs.

I'm really sad that so many of the blogs decided to take a break or end. I feel like I lost half my blog roll (well, technically, I did). I'm so glad that I still have great blogs to read.

Alicia's blog. WOW! It's blowing my mind on how she's taking the whole trial thing. I'm loving every second of it. It's just so nicely written. Great job!

The Sometimes blog... I'm really rooting for Will and Emily. It's just so adorable how they're both oblivious to what each other's feelings are.

Karen Chronicles- It's killing me! I really want to see Karen in a relationship!

Macyn is back and it's come to an end. I loved the ending. So cute. :)

Diary of J.. what can I say? That girl has such a crazy life.

Sorry that my post is so short, I'm trying to beat the internet so I don't get kicked off again.

Happy Friday, guys!

Have a great weekend!

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys! :)

How are you doing?

I'd like to start off by saying thank you to everyone who voted in the polls! So, according to the results, there will be a new change to the posting schedule. The new schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Fast-Talking Fridays. There was an overwhelming majority for that choice. I'm really sorry to those who voted for something else, but I hope this schedule works for you too. The new schedule will start on May 31st. :)

I will be leaving up the results of the polls until Tuesday. I want to start something new on the blog, which the trial went really well, even though I might have picked a topic that was too huge for the sidebar. I don't want the blog to be just something that you read and then go: "Ok, done!" I want there to be interactions and involvements too between the reader and the blog.

So, now, every Tuesday, there will be a new poll added so I can get to know everyone. The questions may range from "what's your favorite color" to "what's your favorite flavor ice cream". Or there might be a topic of discussion posted up and you can respond in the comment area. My main goal is to make the blog as fun as it can be for everyone! I really enjoy looking at the polls and the results. :)

I'm really curious of what the "other" TV shows were. So, if you voted "other" and you haven't posted what the show was, please post. I'm trying to rack my brain on what other shows I missed. :)

Onto other blogs!

I'm so sad to see Apathy go. I just want to take a moment to recognize the greatness of the blog and wish Laura the best of luck on her pregnancy. I completely understand her reasoning behind pausing the blog (whether it's for the summer or for life). I'll miss the blog dearly.

Sadly to say, Macyn is also leaving us too. Next week will be the final 3 posts for Macyn. I can't really say that I'll miss the blog, because I was a little bored with some of the non-crazy stalker Sean and Stephanie (is it Stephanie) posts, but some of the posts were really sweet.

I'm really excited to see what Alicia has in store with her blog. She mentioned that she has something really awesome coming up!

Bedroom Blog. We should start a petition to end it. I would really like to see a nice ending for K. Maybe do something crazy and get married.

Sometimes. I love the blog. Just love it. If you don't read it, really, check it out, I highly recommend it. Hope is such a great writer. It's like a novel in a blog! I wonder if Hope is a published writer, if not, she should be!

Diary of J. I really think I read this blog out of loyalty. I'm a little bit irritated with the posting schedule. Yes, I understand that as a writer that things come up and you can't write. But, a little notice would be nice. But I can understand if you can't give notice. I have really conflicting views. lol. I'm disappointed as a reader, but understanding as a writer (I use the term writer loosely, since I'm just an amateur writer and not a professional one. :]).

Connecticut in two days! I really hope that my uncle wasn't lying when he says that there is wi-fi in his house. That would be bad.

I think that's everything that I have to say for now. Thank you for reading guys! I really love everything about the blogging community, from the negative comments to the positive ones.

Happy Friday!

Have an awesome weekend!

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys!

Is there anything new with you that you would like to share? :)

I wanted to get everyone's opinions on possibly changing the posting schedule. Currently, the schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Fast-Talking Fridays, and Saturdays. I was possibly thinking about changing it to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Fast-Talking Friday schedule or possibly a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Fast-Talking Friday schedule. Let me know what you guys think. :)

There seemed to be a glitch with the comments yesterday, but I guess it's fixed?

I think that's it about what's going on with me (I'm a totally uneventful, arguably boring person :]).

Blogs.. Hmm.

Alicia's blog is getting pretty interesting with all the POVs going on. I can't wait to see what is the outcome of the court case. Although, I do have a theory that Grant will be found innocent and a incredibly imaginative chain of events will occur (think about what would happen in a CSI episode). Similar to the Macyn story, perhaps.

Speaking of Macyn, I had no idea how much I was going to miss that blog! I loved waking up in the morning and seeing a new post ever M, W, F. *sigh* She'll be back soon and I'll get my Macyn fix.

In Bedroom Blog, I definitely think it's winding down. I don't know what else to say about BB.

I love the blog Sometimes! It's a really good read. Hope is an excellent writer (which I may have said before). I haven't read her other blogs yet. I heard What My Heart Desires is a really good blog. I think the other new one is Wishing On Stars. There's probably more that escape my memory.

I would love to get your opinion on any of these blogs (or any other ones I might have left out due to the lengthiness of this post), feel free to comment!

Happy Friday and have an awesome weekend! :)

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys!

How has your day been? Or.. if you're feeling extremely talkative, how has your week been?

Where to start? I bought a netbook for school, which is pretty cool. I only have 2 weeks of school left and it's really overwhelming. But somehow.. it'll be ok. 2 more weeks and I'm done with my first year in college (if you count community college as college, I do.. but some people don't). I'm starting to come down with something and I have a feeling that I'm going to be full blown sick during finals week (which happened last semester too). Yay to finals looming over my head and that 7 page research paper. I'm starting to miss my preschool days. *sigh*

So, is it just me or was the suspense NOT worth it on Bedroom Blog? I mean.. waiting.. almost a week for a post that was supposed to be "tomorrow" for an explanation and the explanation was anti-climatic. I felt like it was a complete let down. Oh, and the whole "OMG, like.. you didn't invite me to your party but you invited my ex-boyfriend over ME?" thing is really high school-ish. I haven't reached K.'s age (whatever it may be, either it's at a standstill like The Simpsons or it continues on in real life time), but I really hope that I don't sound like a middle/high school person when I am.

I know I'm ranting a lot about BB, but it really irked me. I mean, I love BB and that's how I got started with this website, by the individuals advertising their blogs, but.. I feel like they've changed something with the blog (a writer perhaps) and it's off. The posting schedule has always been weird and I don't know whether I want to give up on it or still continue reading it out of loyalty. I remember finding the blog one day and spending all night just catching up on the old posts. The old posts were REALLY good compared to the ones we have today, in my opinion.

But, one blog I loved loved loved (did I mention LOVE?) this week was Alicia's blog, The Not So Outrageous Shenanigans of Leigh Ross (I think I posted the link, so I hope it's ok with you Alicia! If not, tell me and I'll take it down). It was such a shocking plot twist that my mouth is STILL on the ground. So, if you don't read the blog, check it out!

I don't want to make this post longer than it is, even though I have a million of other things to say.

Happy Friday everyone and have an extremely awesome weekend! :)

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys! :)

How are you guys doing? I'm kind of scared to post this. I'm not sure what people's reactions are. It seems to me that people are I don't know.. taking comments/posts very seriously and I really don't want to spark that kind of reaction, ever. I'm really non-confrontational.

My week has been decent. I got through the Monday Madness where I had 5 papers/essays to turn in. Now, I just have to write a research paper for my program and I'm good.

My boyfriend had his orientation for work and they actually had him work for 4 hours. Well, he still can't drive and he had to bum a ride off of his best friend today. *sigh* I'm working on that. I talked to his parents about it today and his mom was like.. "That's his problem." Sigh.. I don't know.. I don't know how a mother could say that about her child. It's just picking him up from work.. It's not like.. you have anything else better to do (all the chores like.. cleaning, washing the dishes, etc goes towards the kids).. and she's unemployed and not even looking for a job. I'm kind of understanding why he's so unmotivated to do things.. his parents don't motivate him, but nag him to do it but get mad when he's not motivated enough to work on it. Like.. driving.. his dad "tried" for years to get him to do it. By try, I mean "hey, I'm going to wait for you to come to me and ask me to help you." I'll stop with my rant for now. :)

Like I said, I don't know.. the blogs are getting really serious tension vibe (if that made any sense whatsoever). I can understand some people's frustrations when there is a posting schedule and the author doesn't stick with it, but life comes first. I understand that there is writing block and everything, but I also understand from the reader's point of view too. I really miss new posts to some blogs. I feel like.. there's nothing to read sometimes. It makes me sad, but I understand that life is unpredictable.

The whole dry spell with the Bedroom Blog last week. I don't know.. that really got me annoyed. One because they're PAID to do that. And Two because well.. that blog has been inconsistent with posting and stuff. Sometimes the comments are more interesting than the posts, if that makes any sense.

Oh! The Karen Chronicles is getting really good! I think that something's going to happen between Karen and Marco. Hopefully!

If there are any blogs that you guys want to talk about (I don't really remember which ones had new posts this week) feel free! I'm always interesting in conversing with other people! :)

Happy Friday!

Happy Mother's Day to the mothers who read this blog.

AND!

Happy weekend to everyone!

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys!

It's another Friday! How has your day/week been? :)

I'm incredibly stressed out right now. Everything seems to be due at the same time (well, they ARE, which is really scary) and I'm trying my best to cope.

My boyfriend was supposed to have his orientation last night, but it's moved to Monday. We're trying to deal with the situation of how he is going to get to work. I don't know, I'm really stressed to the max and sometimes I feel more of a mother to him, rather than a girlfriend. Because.. well.. his mom is home all the time and I don't see the reason why she can't drive him to work or at least.. be in the passenger seat while he practices to get his license. Then again, his parents are really laid back and all they do is harp on him for not doing this or that, but they don't really encourage him. So, I assumed the responsibility. So far, so good. I got him to go to college (his original plan was to join the army), attempt to get a BS in Computer Science, and get his permit. I hate complaining, but how am I supposed to handle my life and his? I don't think building a future together means: "Hey, set the goals and manage both persons' lives in the relationship."

Ok, I think that's the end of my rant which is mostly generated by stress, let's move onto the blogsphere. :)

Val from 15 Miles posted an explanation of her absence. I'm not sure how I feel about the post, since it's been so long since the blog got deleted. But, my heart goes out to her. She has another blog called Desent into Normalcy where she blogs about her life. It just amazes me how much she's gone and is still going through. She knows that she has readers, but I'm not sure how I feel about being referred to as an "Imaginary Friend" because, well, I'm real and I exist. Oh, and Parenthood is a very good show! Sure, it has its flaws, but COME ON! No family is perfect! Sorry for that tangent.

I read yesterday that ~S~ from Macyn is halting the blog for a little bit to turn the blog into a novel/book. I'm very excited to see the blog moving into that direction and deeply saddened that we won't have any new posts soon. I thought that it was a very convienent place to stop the blog, with the "What if that guy isn't Macyn's brother?" cliffhanger. I wish her the best of luck and hope I one day see Macyn on the shelves.

Laura from Nothing More Than Apathy should turn her blog into a book! I would definitely buy that! She's such a talented writer, especially since she doesn't re-edit. SERIOUSLY!

Bedroom Blog. What do I even say? Was there a post this week? The last post I saw was the M.I.A post which was posted on either last Friday or Saturday. Not to sound mean or anything, but... Cosmo, didn't you hire someone to do consistent postings because, well, it's their job and they get paid for it? Don't get me wrong, I love the blog (the older posts), but it's really inconsistent with the postings.

The Karen Chronicles has me wondering. With her last post, Marco made a statement and I'm not sure if it sort of alludes that he has feelings for her or if they're on a date? I just want Karen to be with someone, anyone! Not Angelo, but still. She has so many choices! I'm sure Trey, Marco, and Vincenzo are just waiting for her to make a move or something.

MA from Everyday Endeavors checked in, letting us know of her situation. So, thank you! I'm glad that you're safe and sound. I'm sending you a lot of good energy and vibes. :)

There is definitely a lot that happened in the blog world this week. I'm sorry about the long post!
Happy Friday guys! :)

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys!

I forgot it was Friday. I'm such a spaz, I thought today was Thursday. I'm really sorry that this post is late. So, how are you? Did you have a great week?

I already mentioned on Tuesday that my boyfriend got his first job! He finished filling out his paperwork yesterday and after they process it, they'll call him in for work. My boyfriend said that it might be sometime next week. So, we have to shop for all black shoes as part of his uniform. I'm so excited! Now, we have to tackle getting a license and I assume that I'm driving him to work until he does (he wanted to drive illegally to work and I said no).

Nothing else new except I think my cat isn't pregnant, which I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

Hmm.. Let's move onto blogs. There have been some good story lines lately.

The Karen Chronicles is getting SUPER GOOD! I don't know, I can't wait to see what happens next! I hate the last cliffhanger. Marco, Marco, Marco, make a move already! :)

Diary of J, I can't stop reading it. I'm not quite sure why. I have a sneaking suspicion that she is not with Brandon in present day. Just from a little comment she wrote a while back, but I don't know if that is enough evidence. I like the frequent posts lately, but I'm not sure if it makes up for the ones she missed.

Sometimes is a really good blog. Hope is a fantastic writer and I'm hooked on her blog. You can't help but laugh at the senarios that Emily goes through. I highly recommend checking it out if you do not currently read it. She posts every Wednesday. You can find the link through my profile. :)

Bedroom Blog, I'm glad that K. is moving on from her insecurities. I really want some action from her! It seems like it's been so long since she's done anything sexually with a guy (in the context that the name of the blog is Bedroom Blog).

I just want to give a shout out to MA. If you're reading, please let me know if how you're doing, I'm starting to get worried about you. I want to make sure that you're ok.

Happy Friday, guys! :)

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys! :)

How has your day been? Or if you're feeling extra extra talkative today, how's your week going?

I've had a busy week. I had an Honors program garage sale on Tuesday and Wednesday and I think the program got out of debt. The program is sort of unknown and needs to gain more attention, which is REALLY difficult at a community college, since it's a commuter school. So, I spent Tuesday and Wednesday running around, scrambling on preparing things for our garage sale (we were really scattered because there are basically 8 active members out of the supposed 40 that are in Honors). I had a table there and I made $1 profit (apparently, college students don't eat candy, chips, or drink soda!). The joys of doing business. :)

And yesterday, I had a optometrist appointment and got new glasses. There was this promotion where I only had to pay $10 dollars instead of the $100 for these lenses that prevent glare while driving and while you're on the laptop/computer. I also learned that without my glasses, I'm as blind as a bat. After my appointment, I had to rush to my boyfriend's house because he had a job interview at a movie theater. He's not sure if he got the job or not. Sooo! Fingers crossed on that one!

Lastly, class schedules came out a couple of days ago and I've settled on 4 classes, 3 on either tuesday/thursday or just tuesdays and 1 online. It will free up a lot of time to write, since the posting schedule is on opposite days. If all of my classes are open, I'll be incredibly happy. Hopefully, I can catch up with some sleep next semester.

Oh, another thing. I don't remember if I mentioned it already, but my boyfriend and I believe that our cat is pregnant. She's sleeping many many many hours of the day and she's definitely not as active as she used to be. We'll see around June 14th if there are any kittens.

Does anyone want to talk about any blogs (it doesn't have to be about mine, it can be any blog)? Or anything that's new with you?

I'm starting to hope that Karen and Marco hook up on Karen Chronicles, that Matt and Ella hook up on Apathy, and for K. and Ben to get married on Bedroom Blog. :)

Happy Friday, everyone! :)

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey guys!

How's your day been going? Or your week, if you're feeling extra talkative. :)

I've been having a rough week, my cat had been missing for 7 days.

I had an entirely different post written for today, but less than 3 hours ago, I found my cat! She got out (she's an indoor cat, supposed to be anyway) and has been gone for 7 days. My boyfriend's best friend (who is my FAVORITE person in the world now!) had called my boyfriend 3 times while we were sleeping. His calls were ignored and he was knocking on the window (because he lives right across the street from my boyfriend) and my boyfriend's mom is like.. Jose's seen the cat! I immediately freaked out and grabbed a flashlight, cell phone, her treat bottle and ran outside with Jose (my boyfriend stayed in his room sleeping, because he has been REALLY pessimistic throughout the WHOLE process). We heard her bell jingling where Jose had seen her. She was right by this Asian house. I saw that they were watching a Korean show, but it has the option to change it into Chinese (either Cantonese or Mandarin) so I was trying to figure out which dialect the guy spoke. So, I'm Chinese-American, btw, if I haven't mentioned that before. :)

I mean, he opened the door, I knocked and called out "excuse me" and he was peeking through the window, like.. who are these crazy kids??? I asked him to check in his backyard for her and he said he didn't see anything. I heard the bell again and then I started shaking the treat bottle and I saw this REALLY small cat come out with a collar and a bell. I shined the flashlight in her direction and verified that it was her. I was so relieved and I threw half the bottle of treats onto the sidewalk, trying to get her to eat it. SHE WAS SUPER THIN. It took me 3 tries to catch her, I was literally on the ground pleading with her and I just grabbed her and didn't let go. Thank goodness that Jose was standing a little bit further away and didn't scare her. He grabbed the flashlight and the treat bottle and we brought her home. Everyone was so glad to see her. She was so missed.

I don't think that she had food in the last week. She looked anorexic. I felt so bad. We immediately gave her a bunch of food and water and she started gobbling away.

I'm sorry that this is so long, but just one more thing.

Just a note on the blog:

This is a completely open and honest blog and I don't want anyone to censor themselves (and I will not censor you unless you're posting links to things without explaining what they are/what it is for). I understand that by putting my life out there, that I will get both positive and negative responses and I'm extremely open-minded about hearing people's thoughts and opinions.

If you think it's getting boring or my ideas are unoriginal or if the drama is childish or if you're tired of hearing about certain people, feel free to tell me. I'll definitely take what you say into consideration. :)

Again, sorry that this is so long and mostly about my cat, but she's my little girl and she's back home. SO, HAPPY HAPPY Happy Friday! :]

Fast-Talking Friday

Hey everyone! First post of April! :)

How has your day been? Or your week, since I'm posting this early in the morning.

I'm really excited about today! It's a date day between my boyfriend and I. We've been in a rut lately and it's going to be fun to actually go out and enjoy a date. I wish I could bring our little kitty (she's not a kitty anymore, but she's still a kitty in my eyes) with us. It's times like these I wish we had a dog.

Just in case anyone missed my post on Tuesday, I finalized my flight and my travel plans. I will be in the CT area starting on May 29th until June 14th. I know that it's extremely early to be giving you guys a heads up, but sooner rather than later is my policy. I'm really not sure how the posting schedule will be affected. It really depends on the upcoming and on-going assignments I have until that time, but I will try my hardest to get posts written ahead of time.

Onto more interesting news!

Has anyone watched The Last Song? I saw it the day it came out and I thought that it was a fairly decent movie despite the bad reviews. Sure, there were some parts where you could criticize the acting, but once you move past that, it's a lovely story. If you haven't seen it, I really recommend that if you go, to bring tissues. I forgot and ended up crying a bit.

Has anyone seen any other good movies lately?

Anywho, Happy Friday, guys! :)
